Who knew motherhood would be so leaky?! Leaky boobs, leaky bottles, leaky diapers, etc.

We learned very quickly that breastfed babies have extremely watery poops. We also learned expeditiously that all diapers are not created equal. We tried to use all of our baby shower diapers first but when we encountered one too many blowouts, we had to figure out what kind of diaper would work for our baby.
We tried five different brands of diapers and I want to share my thoughts on the brands in hopes that it helps a new mama!
Mama Bear: Amazon delivers to our home on a daily basis. We love Amazon for everything…except for baby diapers. We found Amazon diapers to be newspaper like. They appeared to have good support but when wet or even packed inside of our diaper bags, they tended to shed lightly. They were the least expensive diapers at about 0.19/diaper. We give the Amazon diaper brand 3 stars.

Hello Bello: I really wanted to love the Hello Bello brand. They had the cutest designs with ballerinas, Christmas trees, holiday lights, etc. However, unfortunately the diapers have no stretch and no flexibility. They run small and were constantly the culprit of bowel blowouts. I am sad to give the Hello Bello Brand 2 stars.

Pampers: We actually got a lot of free Pampers diapers from the hospital and overall they get the job done. I suppose we were turned off by their wipes and felt like we could possibly get a better quality for the price. We also love to support new, small businesses. Pampers are obviously a household name , at approximately 0.30/diaper and definitely deserve at least 4 stars.

Huggies: Huggies is a household name as well but felt a bit flimsy in my opinion. They were maybe a step up from the Amazon Mama Bear diapers. I’d compare them to the diapers that come with the life-size dolls. At about 0.23/diaper, Huggies were simply average; no bells and whistles, just a diaper. We give Huggies a solid 3.2 stars.

Honest: Honestly, I thought this brand was a gimmick before becoming a parent. We were not only impressed by their diapers, we were super impressed by their wipes. I’d actually expect Honest diapers to be more expensive but they are competitively priced at approximately 0.24/diaper. We give Honest diapers a whopping 5 stars. They also get a few extra kudos for cute designs as well!!!

I would love to hear of any brands we haven’t tried. Please leave comments below with any recommendations!
